How Araceli transformed care work into a digital mission

Meet Araceli Farrera

Empathic. Tenacious. Always thinking about others.
Araceli Farrera is a 37-year-old psychologist from Mexico, now living in Portugal. Since her degrees weren’t recognized, she found herself working in call centers—far from her passion. But her heart never left psychology. She just needed a new path to get back to it.

“I didn’t just find a new skill—I reconnected with my purpose. I feel like I’m finally doing what I was meant to do.”

The Challenge

When Araceli moved to Portugal, she thought she’d be able to continue her work in mental health. But the barriers—language, bureaucracy, validation—felt endless.

She pivoted to gerontology and even launched content online, but it wasn’t enough.

“I kept thinking—how do I turn this knowledge into something real? Something digital. I didn’t want to give up.”

She wanted to support the people no one sees: informal caregivers.

But building that alone? Impossible. Until, out of nowhere, a course link landed in her inbox.

The Transformation

“When I started the course, I thought—this is what I needed. Exactly this.”

That moment sparked a whole new vision.
Araceli didn’t just learn no-code tools—she used them to build her dream: SEDISer Envelhecer Dignamente — a digital support platform for families caring for elderly loved ones.

She brought psychology, empathy, and tech together—creating quizzes, service bundles, course sales, and a real digital clinic.

“I cooked it slowly, with low heat and so much love. Week after week, SEDI was always on my mind.”

From call center shifts to CRM logic, from doubt to design—Araceli surprised even herself.
