STUDENT STORY

From “I Can’t Do This” to “Look What I Built!”

How Natália rediscovered her confidence—and a career path she actually enjoys.

Meet Natália Castro de Souza

Dreamer. Detail-obsessed. Always organizing, even when life feels messy.
Natália, 31, moved from Brazil to Portugal with a hotel management degree and a restless curiosity. She bounced between jobs—call centers, popcorn shifts at a cinema—never quite clicking into place. “Work was always just a way to make money,” she said. “But I wanted more than that. I wanted to like what I did.”

"I always thought I wasn’t cut out for studying. But now? I know I can do hard things. And I know I like learning—when it’s something that lights me up."

The Challenge

Natália didn’t come to the course to switch careers. She came to find something, anything, she actually enjoyed doing.

But self-doubt followed close behind.

She’d never heard of no-code. She thought she wasn’t “the studying type.” And she wasn’t sure if she could keep up.

“It was scary,” she said. “I really didn’t think I’d finish.”

The Transformation

“How I loved this course… my God in heaven. It was very, very, very good.”

When Natália signed up, she didn’t even know what no-code meant. Her husband sent her the link, and on a whim—during her birthday week, no less—she thought: Why not?

She didn’t expect to fall in love with it. But she did.

Every new tool was like discovering a hidden part of herself. Airtable? Obsessed. TypeDream? A little lonely at first (“I thought I was doing everything wrong”), but she stuck with it. Even Glide—her biggest challenge—became a turning point.

There were nights she thought she wouldn’t finish. That the mission was too hard. But then came a call from a course buddy, a shared screen, a bit of encouragement—and suddenly, she was back in the game.

For someone who once believed studying wasn’t for her, Natália surprised herself. She built a capstone project she was proud of. She started thinking in systems. She realized that even when it’s hard, she doesn’t give up.

And maybe most important of all? She started to see a version of herself she actually liked. Capable. Curious. And yes—totally techy.

What’s Next for Natália?

She’s still figuring it out. But now, with a new skillset—and self-belief—she’s exploring job paths that feel more her.
Freelance? A product role? Continuing to build Pele Glow?
All options are open. And this time, she's not backing away from dreaming.

Project Highlight

In the final stage of the Cohorts, students have the opportunity to create a Capstone Project to showcase what they have learned across the journey. They have the liberty to use whichever tool they want or even explore new ones, promoting their critical thinking and proactivity. Always with the support of our Mentors.

Project: Pele Glow

Goal: A curated beauty platform helping users compare products, read reviews, and shop smarter—all in one place.

“It’s the kind of site I always wished existed—so I made it.”
