How Rita left the comfort zone to build a creative, flexible future in tech
Meet Rita Sofio
Visual thinker. Travel lover. Culinary queen.
Rita Sofio, 29, lives in Lisbon and works remotely as a Tech Specialist supporting healthcare professionals across the UK, Ireland, South Africa, and Portugal.
She didn’t start out in tech. With a background in biopharmaceutical sciences, her early career followed a path of practicality. But underneath, she was always someone with creative instincts and big dreams — photography, travel, design, and helping others grow.

Project Highlight
In the final stage of the Cohorts, students have the opportunity to work in a real project to develop not only technical skills, but also soft skills like client management, problem-solving, prioritization, and negotiation. Always with the support of our Mentors.
Throughout the course, she collaborated with a company to develop an information database. It proved to be a straightforward task for her as she was already familiar with the necessary tools. Additionally, she assisted the company in implementing email automation. Working alongside the communication department provided her with a valuable opportunity to learn from different perspectives and engage with the company from the inside.

Mission: Build a startup scouting system for corporate innovation programs
