From Biotech to Quality Assurance
She left the lab. She found her spark.
Meet Ângela Vieira
Biochemist. Bold career-switcher. Gryffindor through and through.
Ângela, a former quality control lead in the cork industry, spent 8 years in lab coats and chemistry reports. But under that analytical surface? A mother, a leader, a lifelong learner ready for change. In June 2023, she quit her job, ready to rewrite her story—for herself, and for her young daughter, Maria.

What’s Next for Ângela Vieira
She’s deepening her QA expertise, building solid test strategies, and eyeing leadership in agile environments. Long-term? Maybe mentoring others making the leap. For now, she’s committed to growing with purpose.
Update
After gaining confidence, purpose, and a new lens on her tech potential, Ângela took bold steps to solidify her place in tech. She completed internships at Blip.pt as a Quality Assurance Intern and at SONAE as an IT Project Manager. In 2025, she officially landed her dream job as a QA Analyst at Content Guru—the very goal she set out for, two years before, when she said, "I want to change careers to QA!"
We couldn’t be happier for having been part of this amazing journey.
Project Highlight
In the final stage of the Cohorts, students have the opportunity to create a Capstone Project to showcase what they have learned across the journey. They have the liberty to use whichever tool they want or even explore new ones, promoting their critical thinking and proactivity. Always with the support of our Mentors.
For her capstone project, Ângela decided to evolve her project - "Quero, Posso e Mamo" - into a digital platform, transitioning from Instagram to a functional, client-ready website.
After giving birth to her daughter Maria, Ângela experienced firsthand the challenges and beauty of breastfeeding. That moment sparked more than just maternal instinct—it sparked purpose.
And now, through “Quero, Posso e Mamo,” she’s helping parents navigate those fragile first steps with clarity and confidence.
With tools like Softr, Airtable, Zapier, and Gumroad, she created a space where clients can book services, access content, and feel supported, far beyond the limits of an Instagram DM.
This isn’t just a project. It’s a movement with heart.
