NoCode Institute is now Fledge

After 5 years, we’re taking an important step forward: NoCode Institute is becoming Fledge. This isn’t just a new name or a visual refresh. It’s a deep alignment between strategy, culture, and execution — because what got us here may not be enough for what comes next.

We started NoCode Institute with a clear mission: to democratize digital skills.

To help people requalify through no-code tools.

To make sure no one gets left behind in the digital economy.

And over the last five years, that mission has created real impact. More than 10,000 participants have joined our programs, and 500+ people have been certified.

But the digital world has changed — fast.

With the explosion of artificial intelligence, the skills gap has grown wider, not smaller. Digital transformation is no longer just about learning one tool or one method. It’s about learning how to adapt, apply technology with confidence, and create real value in a changing economy.

That’s why today, we’re making it official: NoCode Institute is now Fledge.

How we got here

Nelson and Miguel, co-founders of NoCode Institute.
Nelson and Miguel, co-founders of NoCode Institute, at the very beginning of the journey.

We launched NoCode Institute to make digital creation accessible to people without technical backgrounds.

At the time, “no-code” gave us a powerful entry point. It helped people see that they could build, automate, solve problems, and participate in digital work without needing to become software engineers.

It was never only about tools.

It was about confidence.

It was about career transformation.

It was about opening doors for people who had experience, talent, and potential — but had been told that technology was not for them.

That mission still defines us.

But over time, it became clear that the name NoCode Institute was starting to limit how people understood our work.

It sounded narrower than our real ambition.

It made us sound like a school for tools, when what we are building is much broader: a place where non-technical talent can gain practical digital skills, earn meaningful recognition, and build a future in the digital economy.

What changed

The rise of AI has accelerated everything.

It has changed how people work, how businesses operate, and what skills are becoming valuable.

In that shift, a new divide is emerging — not just between technical and non-technical people, but between those who can work with digital tools strategically and those who risk being left behind.

We believe the answer is not just more content or more software.

It’s better pathways. Better guidance. Better recognition.

And better support for people who are ready to grow, but need a bridge between where they are now and where the market is going.

That’s the role we want to play.

Why Fledge

Descodifica-te #3
Descodifica-te #3 class, ready to fly!

In English, fledging is the stage between hatching and being able to fly.

That idea captures exactly what we want to help people do.

Fledge is where non-technical talent grows wings.

It’s where people build the confidence, practical skills, and momentum to take off in the digital economy.

The name reflects growth, transition, and readiness.

Not just learning.

Not just theory.

But becoming capable of moving forward with autonomy.

Our new tagline says it simply:

Where talent gets digital.

What’s changing

Our mission stays the same: to leave no one behind and make digital careers more accessible to real people with real-world experience — regardless of age, background, or previous path.

What evolves is how we deliver on that mission.

We’re expanding beyond no-code into a broader, future-ready model built around digital transformation, reskilling, and applied AI.

That means:

  • New programs and new specializations
  • More focus on future-ready digital skills
  • A stronger dual-impact model: social and economic
  • New recognition and certification pathways, including international frameworks such as CPD and ECTS
  • A broader learning journey, from micro-courses to bootcamps to advanced specializations

Because digital is no longer just about learning a tool.

It’s about building capability.

It’s about working smarter.

It’s about turning potential into real opportunities.

What happens to NoCode Institute

NoCode Institute, as we knew it, is coming to an end.

Not because it failed — but because it worked.

It fulfilled its first mission.

It proved that non-technical people can learn digital skills, build confidence, and create new professional futures.

Now it’s time for the next chapter.

Fledge builds on everything NoCode Institute made possible, while creating more space for what comes next: broader programs, stronger credentials, and a clearer response to the new AI-driven economy.

This is not a break from our past.

It’s an evolution of it.

What’s next

We’re entering this new chapter with a broader offer and a bigger ambition.

Our programs will now be structured as transformation pathways, designed for different levels of digital maturity — from introductory experiences to advanced specialization and professional certification.

Among the first highlights of this next phase is AI Foundations, a new 12-week bootcamp focused on practical, applied artificial intelligence.

We’re also strengthening the recognition behind our programs, with certification systems that connect learning more clearly to professional growth and employability.

And beyond training, we’re expanding how we support talent and organizations — helping qualified professionals become active contributors to digital transformation across the Portuguese business ecosystem.

The need is urgent.

The opportunity is real.

And we believe that talent exists everywhere — even if access, confidence, and opportunity do not.

We’re building Fledge to help close that gap.

To help more people move faster, work smarter, and build meaningful futures in a digital world.

From now on, our home is Fledge. Where talent gets digital.
